Getting to know us

Twin Creeks Farms is a 5th generation family farm in Carvers Creek, NC. We raise and sell chickens for layers and for meat, beef, and pork. Our chickens are fed a diet containing no animal by-products, and our cattle are produced naturally without hormones or antibiotics. We provide chickens for home and farm laying flocks and currently have layer pullets, beef, and pork available. Most of our customers are families who are interested in having fresh, healthy food from a local source.

Wesley is an agriculture teacher at the Boys' and Girls' Home at Lake Waccamaw with a B.S. in Poultry Science from N.C. State, and Bethany is a cosmetologist and part-time writer/photographer/artist with a B.A. in Art from Meredith College. Edward is an agronomist with a BS in Soil Science from N.C. State as well, and his wife, Alisa, works in the business office at Bladen County Hospital and has a B.S. in Accounting from Meredith College. We enjoy producing safe, natural food and servicing local customers. We will be happy to provide any assistance needed for those who would like to have a home chicken flock, and visitors are always welcome.

What do you feed your livestock?

All of our animals are fed a natural and balanced diet void of any animal by-products, and none of our animals are given preventive antibiotics. Our cattle are fed a mixture of seasonal forage crops and hay. Since cows are natural born grass eaters, we aim to feed them as much forage and grass as is possible in our area resulting in a forage grown and finished beef with less fat and a better flavor (as our customers have reported and we have tasted ourselves). Our chickens and hogs are fed a diet free that are free of animal based proteins via a balanced feed that we make ourselves with our own feed mill.
